Carolyn opened Luscious Garage in a SOMA warehouse in 2007 and invoiced the first customer the week the first iPhone went on sale. Hybrids were the new technology then, and most shops would not touch them.
The shop software of the day dated from the 1980s, so she had her own built: online, paper-free, with photos customers could see. It became the prototype for Shop-Ware, which she founded in 2013 and still runs as CEO. Thousands of repair shops use it now, this one included.
In 2023 she moved the shop to Bayshore Blvd and renamed it Earthling Automotive, on the bet that Tesla would be what the Prius was in 2007.
